MLB action continues at Wrigley Field Saturday where the Chicago Cubs host the San Diego Padres.
The San Diego Padres saw a late rally fall just short in a 5-4 defeat at Wrigley on Friday. San Diego starter Tyson Ross allowed three runs in five innings to get the loss with Robert Stock and Jordan Lyles giving up a run each.

The Padres totaled eight hits and walked twice with Christian Villanueva smacking a solo bomb while Cory Spangenberg went 2-2 with an RBI and a run.
Joey Lucchesi continues his rookie campaign with a Saturday start at Wrigley Field. Lucchesi comes off of a 5-4 loss to Arizona with all five runs allowed on six hits including three long balls.
The Chicago Cubs got back in the win column against the Padres on Friday after surviving a poor performance from the bullpen. Chicago starter Jose Quintana gave up a run in six frames to get the win before Carl Edwards gave up a run in the 8th before Pedro Strop allowed a pair of 9th inning runs.
The Cubs attack consisted of ten hits and two free passes with Anthony Rizzo logging three hits including a homer while Javier Baez homered and scored twice followed by Tommy La Stella scored two times.
Kyle Hendricks toes the rubber against the Padres Saturday looking for consecutive victories. Hendricks picked up a 5-2 victory at St. Louis last trip to the mound with both runs plated through seven innings.
