The Los Angeles Angels and the Cleveland Indians meet in game two of their three game set from Progressive Field in MLB action on Saturday.

The Los Angeles Angels will look to build some steam after winning game one on Friday by a final score of 7-4. Shohei Ohtani led the Halos by going 4 for 5 with a pair of home runs and three RBIs. Eric Young Jr. added a double while going 2 for 3 with two RBIs and David Fletcher and Jose Briceno each had an RBI to round out the Angels’ scoring, with Fletcher adding a two-bagger of his own. Andrelton Simmons and Kole Calhoun each chipped in a base hit as well to cap off L.A.’s offense in the victory. Jaime Barria gave up three runs on six hits while striking out three over five innings of work, not factoring in the decision. Justin Anderson picked up the win to improve to 2-2 on the year. Felix Pena will start game two and is 1-2 with a 5.23 ERA and 35 strikeouts this season. This will be Pena’s first career start against Cleveland.

The Cleveland Indians will look to bounce back after dropping the series opener on Friday. Leonys Martin led the Tribe by going 2 for 3 with a home run and two RBIs, while Michael Brantley and Jose Ramirez each added an RBI to round out the Indians’ scoring, with Brantley adding a double to the cause. Yan Gomes added a double as well while Francisco Lindor, Edwin Encarnacion and Roberto Perez each added a base hit to cap off Cleveland’s offense in defeat. Mike Clevinger gave up three runs on five hits while striking out six over six innings of work, not factoring in the decision. Oliver Perez took the loss to fall to 0-1 this season. Corey Kluber will start game two and is 13-6 with a 2.79 ERA and 139 strikeouts this season. In his career, Kluber is 2-2 with a 3.99 ERA and 32 strikeouts against the Angels.

Los Angeles is 1-4 in their last 5 games overall and 8-20 in their last 28 road games while the over is 5-1 in their last 6 games against a right-handed starter. Cleveland is 1-4 in Kluber’s last 5 home starts and 39-13 in their last 52 home games against a team with a losing record while the under is 3-1-2 in their last 6 Saturday games. Los Angeles is 8-19 in the last 27 meetings between these two teams and 6-16 in the last 22 meetings between these two teams in Cleveland.

The Angels took game one, but that doesn’t change the fact that the Angels have been brutal on the road as of late and are sending out Pena who gave up seven runs in his last outing while failing to make it out of the first inning and finishing with a 189.00 ERA in that outing. Yikes. Kluber is looking like the Kluber we are used to seeing, and while he has been shaky at home, he’s still a better option than the alternative so I’ll back Cleveland here on the run line to negate the heavy juice.
