The Phillies took the first two games of this series 5-2 and 5-1, then on Saturday Philly kept it going on an 8-3 win.

For Sunday’s game, the Marlins will be sending out Wei-Yin Chen. In his 83.0 innings and 3-8 mark this season, Chen has a 5.86 ERA with 62 Ks and 34 BBs.

The Marlins’ leading hitter this year is Starlin Castro, who came into the weekend on 123 hits, 62 runs and 40 RBI. On Saturday, Castro had two hits and a run.

Over on the Phillies’ side, they’re going with Aaron Nola on Sunday. In 142.0 innings and a 12-3 record this year, Nola has a 2.35 ERA with 142 Ks and 38 BBs.

Philly’s top hitter this season is Odubel Herrera, who entered the weekend sporting 114 hits, 53 runs, 19 homers and 58 RBI. In game three, Herrera sat but Cesar Hernandez put up a two-run homer.

Miami is 2-5 in Chen’s last seven starts and 2-8 in his last 10 road starts. The Marlins are also 1-7 in Chen’s last eight starts versus the NL East and 1-4 in his last five starts with five days’ rest.

Meanwhile, the Phillies are 1-4 in their last five Sunday games and 14-4 in Nola’s last 18 starts. Philly is also 19-7 in Nola’s last 26 home starts and 6-2 in his last eight starts with five days’ rest.

Chen has had a couple of bumps in the road across his last four starts, giving up a total of 12 earned over 9.1 innings in the pair of bad outings. As for Nola, he’s given up more than two earned just once in his last seven starts (three earned versus the Dodgers) and has been pitching very well. I don’t think this is one to dwell on too much. Phillies.
