For Wednesday’s matchup, the Twins will be sending out RHP Jake Odorizzi. In his 115.1 innings and 4-7 record this year, Odorizzi has a 4.60 ERA with 120 Ks and 47 BBs.

Tops in hitting for the Twins this year is Eddie Rosario, with 131 hits, 72 runs, 20 homers and 66 RBI entering game two. On Tuesday, Rosario went 4-for-5.

Over on the Indians’ side, they’re going with Mike Clevinger on Wednesday. In his 139.2 innings and 7-7 mark this year, Clevinger has a 3.48 ERA with 139 Ks and 45 BBs.

Francisco Lindor is the leading hitter for the Indians, and entering Tuesday he had 132 hits, 96 runs, 27 homers and 67 RBI. In game two, Lindor hit a solo homer.

The Twins are 3-8 in their last 11 Wednesday games and 1-4 in Odorizzi’s last five road starts. Minnesota is also 1-4 in Odorizzi’s last five starts in game three of a series and 1-6 in his last six starts versus a team with a winning record.

Meanwhile, the Indians are 21-6 in their last 27 Wednesday games and 42-20 in their last 62 in game three of a series. Cleveland is 0-5 in Clevinger’s last five starts and 3-7 in his last 10 home starts.

Odorizzi has been pretty sketchy lately, and he’s got 13 earned runs between his last four starts in a span of 18.2 innings. Clevinger had a couple of bad starts last month but in his last two he’s given up five earned over 11.0 innings. The thing is, Clevinger is 0-4 in his last five starts and hasn’t won since July 1. I may be dumb for trusting the Indians to win here, but I’m going to do it anyway. Probably best to stay away, though.
