MLB action comes to the Sunshine State on Wednesday where the Miami Marlins host the St. Louis Cardinals.
The St. Louis Cardinals rode some late offense to a 3-2 victory at Miami on Tuesday. St. Louis starter Miles Mikolas upped his record to 11-3 with both runs scoring on five hits over seven frames.

The Cardinals banged out seven hits and walked once with Paul DeJong clubbing a two run bomb in the 7th followed by a solo blast in the 8th off the bat of Matt Carpenter.
John Gant toes the rubber at the Marlins in the series finale’ on Wednesday. Gant did not get a decision last time out in a 7-6 loss at Pittsburgh with six runs allowed over four frames.
The Miami Marlins couldn’t build on an early lead and it cost them in a narrow loss to visiting St. Louis. Miami starter Pablo Lopez gave up a pair of runs through seven frames before Elieser Hernandez served up a solo homer to absorb the loss.
The Marlins offense was limited to six hits and a free pass with Justin Bour and Miguel Rojas knocking in runs while Derek Dietrich and JT Riddle scored.
Trevor Richards draws Wednesday’s starting assignment against visiting St. Louis. Richards absorbed a 5-1 defeat at Philadelphia last time out with a run given up through five innings.
St. Louis are 2-8 in their last 10 Wednesday games and are 2-9 in Gant’s last 11 starts and are 2-9 in Gant’s last 11 starts on grass. Under is 6-2-1 in Miami last 9 overall and under is 6-2-1 in Miami last 9 on grass. Over is 7-1 in the last 8 meetings in Miami and over is 15-5 in the last 20 meetings.
The Cardinals squeezed one out Tuesday but I think Richards has enough to keep the Marlins in the running for a win on Wednesday…
