The Seattle Mariners completed an unlikely four gam road sweep of the Astros following a 4-3, ten inning victory on Sunday. Seattle starter Erasmo Ramirez tossed six scoreless innings but did not get a decision with Nick Vincent and James Pazos giving up a combined three runs in the 8th.

The Mariners totaled eleven hits and a free pass with Mike Zunino leaving the yard while Ryon Healy went 2-4 with a homer and two RBI’s followed by Mitch Haniger who had three hits and drove n a run.
Seattle sends Marco Gonzales to the mound for his third start versus Oakland. Gonzales comes off of an 11-7 loss at Texas where he was charged with seven runs over five frames.
The Oakland Athletics turned to their offense to outscore the LA Angels 8-7 on Sunday. Oakland starter Trevor Cahill allowed four runs through 4.2 innings with Jeurys Familia allowing two runs in the 8th.
The Athletics pounded out 12 hits and walked once with Jed Lowrie going 2-4 with a homer, two RBI’s and two runs while Nick Martini, Matt Chapman and Matt Olsen each drove in a run and scored followed by Marcus Semien who went 3-4 with an RBI and two runs.
Sean Manaea draws Monday’s start versus visiting Seattle on Monday. Manaea comes in off of a 4-2 loss to the Dodgers with three runs plated on five hits and three BB over2.2 frames.

The matchup on the mound looks close but Gonzales has struggled a bit which has me looking at the Athletics…
