The San Francisco Giants and Los Angeles Dodgers meet Tuesday in MLB action at Dodger Stadium.
The San Francisco Giants look for another victory after splitting their last 12 games. The Giants have scored nine runs in their last three games and four or more runs in four of their last five games. The San Francisco Giants have won four of their last five games when scoring more than one run. Brandon Crawford leads the Giants with 113 hits and 45 RBI while Andrew McCutchen and Buster Posey have combined for 220 hits and 89 RBI. Andrew Suarez gets the ball, and he is 4-8 with a 4.64 ERA and 96 strikeouts this season. This will be Suarez’s first career game against the Dodgers.

The Los Angeles Dodgers could use a victory here after losing five of their last six games. The Dodgers have allowed 12 runs in their last three games and three or more runs in six straight games. The Los Angeles Dodgers have lost six of their last seven games when allowing more than two runs. Offensively, Chris Taylor leads the Dodgers with 108 hits and 53 RBI while Cody Bellinger and Matt Kemp have combined for 210 hits and 120 RBI. Alex Wood gets the ball, and he is 7-6 with a 3.58 ERA and 107 strikeouts this season. Wood is 3-3 with a 4.22 ERA and 47 strikeouts in his career against the Giants.
The Giants are 2-6 in their last 8 during game 2 of a series and 2-5 in Suarezs last 7 starts vs. National League West. The Dodgers are 2-5 in their last 7 Tuesday games, 4-1 in Woods last 5 starts vs. National League West and 31-15 in Woods last 46 starts. The Giants are 1-4 in the last 5 meetings in Los Angeles and the under is 4-0 in the last 4 meetings.
The Los Angeles Dodgers aren't playing well enough to be throwing out prices like this, and Wood is fresh off the DL with a hamstring injury, so he certainly shouldn't be this big of a favorite. The Dodgers bullpen also continues to have issues and blew another one last night. Suarez has certainly had his struggles this season and a .283 allowed batting average isn't pretty. However, the Giants offense has shown signs of life over the last week, they have a history of playing the Dodgers tough and this is pretty much a last effort to get back in the NL West race. I'll take a stab with the big plus money.
