The Rockies banged out six hits and walked four times with David Dahl leading the way with a homer and three RBI’s while Ryan McMahon delivered a pinch hit RBI single while also scoring in the 9th.

Colorado gives Friday’s road start at Atlanta to Kyle Freeland. Freeland did not get a decision last time out in a 3-2 win versus the Dodgers where he allowed both runs in seven innings.

The surging Atlanta Braves cooled down for a night with their late inning relief pitching collapsing. Atlanta starter Julio Teheran gave up a pair of runs through seven innings with Brad Brach giving up three runs in the 9th to get the loss.

The Braves totaled six hits and a base on balls with Kurt Suzuki going 2-3 with a solo jack and two runs while Dansby Swanson knocking in a run and scoring.

Sean Newcomb toes the rubber against visiting Colorado on Friday. Newcomb comes off of an 8-7 win (ND) versus Milwaukee with five runs scoring on 12 hits over four frames.
