Bill Streicher-USA TODAY Sports

For Friday’s game, the Mets will be bringing out RHP Noah Syndergaard. In his 95.0 innings and 8-2 mark this year, Syndergaard has a 3.22 ERA with 100 Ks and 19 BBs.

Ahmed Rosario played great in game one of the first set, going 4-of-7 for three RBI, four runs and a homer. In the nightcap, eh put up some great numbers as well with two hits, three runs and an RBI.

Over on the Phillies’ side, on Friday they’re going with Aaron Nola. In his 154.0 innings and 13-3 mark this year, Nola has a 2.28 ERA With 149 Ks and 43 BBs.

Leading the way for the Philly offense is Odubel Herrera, who came into this series on 120 hits, 54 runs, 19 homers and 62 RBI. In the openers, Herrera put up one hit in the first game and then in the nightcap Cesar Hernandez managed two hits, three runs and an RBI.

The Mets are 5-1 in their last six in game three of a series and 4-1 in Syndergaard’s last five starts. New York is also 5-2 in Syndergaard’s last seven starts versus the NL East and 4-1 in his last five starts on grass.

Meanwhile, the over is 7-3 in the Phillies’ last 10 Friday games and 17-5 in Nola’s last 22 starts. The Phillies are 17-5 in Nola’s last 22 starts on grass and 20-6 in his last 26 home starts.

Over the past couple of months, Syndergaard has been on a nice run. he’s 6-1 in his last eight starts and has allowed more than three earned just once in that span—a four-earned effort in 6.1 innings versus the Reds. I like Syndergaard to keep it going here, so this doesn’t seem like a bad spot to take the Mets.
