The Arizona Diamondbacks and the San Diego Padres meet in the finale of their four game NL West division set from Petco Park in MLB action on Sunday.

The Arizona Diamondbacks will look to win the series after dropping game three on Saturday by a final score of 7-6. Paul Goldschmidt led the D-Backs, going 4 for 4 with a double and four RBIs while A.J. Pollock added a pair of doubles and two RBIs to round out Arizona’s scoring in the loss. Eduardo Escobar went 3 for 5 with a double while Jon Jay went 2 for 5 and Nick Ahmed added a base hit as well to round out Arizona’s offense in the losing effort. Zack Godley gave up six runs on eight hits while walking four and striking out seven over five innings of work, not factoring in the decision. Orlando Ramirez-USA TODAY Sports

The San Diego Padres will look to salvage a series split after taking game three in walk-off fashion on Saturday. Freddy Galvis went 2 for 3 with two RBIs, while Eric Hosmer added a double and an RBI. Cory Spangenberg, Manuel Margot, Austin Hedges and Christian Villanueva each added an RBI to round out the scoring for the Padres in the win, with Villanueva’s pinch-hit RBI gave the Padres the win in the bottom of the 9th. Travis Jankowski, Wil Myers and Hunter Renfroe each added a base hit as well in the winning effort for San Diego. Clayton Richard gave up five runs on nine hits while striking out three over five innings of work, not factoring in the decision. Craig Stammen got the win to improve to 6-2 this season. Brett Kennedy will start game four and is 0-2 with an 11.00 ERA and 5 strikeouts this season. This will be Kennedy’s first career start against Arizona.

Arizona is 6-1 in Greinke’s last 7 road starts and 23-11 in their last 34 road games while the over is 8-2 in their last 10 division matchups. San Diego is 5-21 in their last 26 home games and 15-39 in their last 54 games overall while the over is 5-2-1 in their last 8 division matchups. Arizona is 5-2 in the last 7 meetings between these two teams and 6-2 in the last 8 meetings between these two teams in San Diego.

Greinke is in a position we aren’t used to seeing from the D-Backs ace, as he’s lost his last three decisions and San Diego has some momentum after their walk-off win on Saturday. However, I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, you’ve made money blindly fading the Padres this season, as San Diego just can’t string wins together no matter how hard they try. Now San Diego sends Kennedy to the mound, a pitcher who has allowed 11 runs in nine innings of work this season. Yuck. No thanks. Greinke has owned the Padres in his career, posting an ERA just over two. Give me the D-Backs on the run line in what I see ending as a blowout on Sunday.
