For Friday’s game, the Indians are going with RHP Carlos Carrasco. In his 161.0 innings and 16-8 mark this year, Carrasco has a 3.52 ERA with 187 Ks and 33 BBs.

Francisco Lindor leads the Indians in hitting this year, coming into this set on 160 hits, 114 runs, 31 homers and 80 RBI. On Thursday, Lindor posted a pair of homers, four RBI, four hits and three runs.

Over on the Jays’ side, they’re going with Marco Estrada on Friday. Across 124.1 innings and a 7-11 mark this year, Estrada has a 5.43 ERA with 90 Ks and 43 BBs.

Tops in hitting for the Jays is Justin Smoak, who entered the series on 114 hits, 62 runs, 23 homers and 71 RBI. On Thursday, Smoak had the day off while Rowdy Tellez posted three hits, a run and an RBI.

The Indians are 57-28 in their last 85 Friday games and 13-3 in Carrasco’s last 16 Friday starts. Cleveland is also 37-17 in Carrasco’s last 54 starts and 36-17 in his last 53 road starts.

Meanwhile, the Jays are 8-2 in their last 10 Friday games and 4-9 in their last 13 in game two of a series. Toronto is 3-8 in Estrada’s last 11 Friday starts and 4-0 in his last four starts versus the AL Central.

Over his last three starts, Carrasco has one good outing (zero earned; four hits; 7.2 innings versus the Twins) and two not-so-good outings (10 combined earned over 10.0 innings). Estrada doesn’t bode much confidence though, as he’s given up 11 earned over his last two starts in 6.1 innings. I’m going Indians here.
