The Arizona Diamondbacks have lost nine of their last 10 games when scoring five or less runs. The Houston Astros look to keep the ball rolling after winning 10 of their last 11 games. The Astros have scored 13 runs in their last three games and four or more runs in 11 of their last 14 games. The Houston Astros have won 17 of their last 19 games when scoring more than two runs. Alex Bregman leads the Astros with 162 hits and 100 RBI while Jose Altuve and Yuli Gurriel have combined for 287 hits and 124 RBI. Dallas Keuchel gets the ball, and he is 11-10 with a 3.59 ERA and 138 strikeouts this season. Keuchel is 3-3 with a 4.00 ERA and 26 strikeouts in his career against the Diamondbacks.
The Diamondbacks are 11-5 in their last 16 Friday games, 16-7 in Rays last 23 road starts and 3-8 in Rays last 11 starts. The Astros are 35-17 in their last 52 Friday games, 42-20 in Keuchels last 62 home starts and 10-4 in Keuchels last 14 starts. The under is 4-0 in the last 4 meetings. The over is 3-1-1 in Keuchels last 5 starts overall and the under is 13-5 in Diamondbacks last 18 overall.
Ray has been really good as of late, which includes allowing a combined three runs in his last three starts. The problem is the Arizona Diamondbacks aren't winning games when he takes the mound due to a lack of consistent offense. The Diamondbacks are a team that's falling apart rather quickly. Meanwhile, the Houston Astros remain one of the hottest teams in baseball and Keuchel has allowed three or less runs in 11 of his last 13 starts. While I'm not a fan of the high juice in this matchup, I can't back the Diamondbacks in their current form, especially with the Astros this hot.
