The Cincinnati Reds and the Milwaukee Brewers meet in game two of their three game NL Central division set from Miller Park in MLB action on Tuesday.

The Cincinnati Reds will look to bounce back after losing the opener on Monday night by a final score of 8-0. Curt Casali went 2 for 3 while Tim Fedorowicz added a double and Scooter Gennett, Phillip Ervin, Mason Williams, Blake Trahan and Scott Schebler each contributed a base knock to round out Cincy’s offense in the loss. Anthony DeSclafani took the loss, falling to 7-5 this season after allowing four runs on seven hits while striking out five over five innings of work. Michael Lorenzen will start game two and is 3-1 with a 3.21 ERA and 49 strikeouts this season. In his career, Lorenzen is 1-2 with a 5.03 ERA and 33 strikeouts against Milwaukee.

Milwaukee Brewers vs. Cincinnati Reds - 9/18/18 MLB Pick, Odds, and Prediction

Benny Sieu-USA TODAY Sports

The Milwaukee Brewers will look to keep their momentum going after a game one win on Monday. Christian Yelich hit for the cycle again with four RBIs, going 4 for 4 at the dish, while Orlando Arcia, Domingo Santana, Jonathan Schoop and Lorenzo Cain each added an RBI with Santana adding a solo home run and Arcia added a double. Travis Shaw went 2 for 3 and Mike Moustakas added a double while Curtis Granderson and Erik Kratz each had a base hit in the win. Wade Miley got the win to improve to 5-2 after tossing five shutout innings, while Brandon Woodruff tossed 3 innings of relief for his 1st save of the season. Chase Anderson will start game two and is 5-1 with a 2.98 ERA and 44 strikeouts against Cincinnati.

Cincinnati is 1-5 in Lorenzen’s last 6 road starts and 6-20 in their last 26 road games while the under is 4-0-1 in their last 5 games overall. Milwaukee is 7-1 in Anderson’s last 8 home starts against a team with a losing record and 12-5 in their last 17 games overall while the under is 11-2-2 in Anderson’s last 15 division starts. Cincinnati is 4-11 in the last 15 meetings between these two teams and 1-4 in the last 5 meetings between these two teams in Milwaukee.

We all know Lorenzen can swing the bat which is impressive the way he hits it as a relief pitcher. However, Lorenzen still has to get the job done on the mound and I’m not sure he’ll be able to here. The Brewers still have a ton to play for, while Cincinnati has been out of the playoff picture for much of the season and Anderson has pretty much owned the Reds in his career, I’ll side with Milwaukee on the run line to get some extra value out of the bet.
