Orlando Ramirez-USA TODAY Sports

The San Diego Padres will look to rebound after dropping game one on Monday. Austin Hedges belted a solo home run while Hunter Renfroe added an RBI of his own in the loss. Franmil Reyes, Wil Myers and Freddy Galvis each added a base hit as the Padres mustered up just five hits as a team in the defeat. Bryan Mitchell took the loss to fall to 1-4 this season after allowing all four runs on nine hits while striking out four over five innings of work.Joey Lucchesi will start game two and is 8-8 with a 3.67 ERA and 123 strikeouts this season. This will be Lucchesi’s second career start against San Francisco.

San Francisco is 4-1 in Holland’s last 5 division starts and 4-12 in their last 16 games overall while the under is 16-4-1 in their last 21 Tuesday games. San Diego is 0-9 in Lucchesi’s last 9 division starts and 1-8 in their last 9 home games against a left-handed starter while the over is 4-0 in Lucchesi’s last 4 home starts. San Francisco is 5-0 in the last 5 meetings between these two teams.

The Giants have lost each of Holland’s last three starts, but it’s not for a lack of trying on Holland’s part as he has allowed just four runs over 18 innings over that span. Holland has actually allowed two runs or less in nine of his last ten starts and while Lucchesi has been decent in his own right, I simply don’t trust the Padres enough to lay this kind of juice so I’ll take what I feel is the better team at plus money, and that’s the Giants.
