The Giants are 7-19 in their last 26 during game 3 of a series, 0-7 in their last 7 Wednesday games and 6-2 in Bumgarners last 8 home starts. The Giants are 2-5 in Bumgarners last 7 starts vs. Padres, 11-4 in Bumgarners last 15 home starts vs. Padres and the Padres are 2-6 in the last 8 meetings.
Lauer is pitching some of his best baseball of the season right now, which includes allowing a combined three runs in his last 14 innings. The problem is we're getting somewhat of a cheap price with one of the top pitchers in baseball in Bumgarner. Any time I can get an ace at -150 or below, I'm taking it. Bumgarner hasn't been CY Young worthy this season, but he's still one of the best pitchers in the sport and the Giants win a ton of games when he takes the hill. At home, Bumgarner and the Giants have to be a solid play tonight.
