The Houston Astros and the Baltimore Orioles meet in their regular season finale from Camden Yards in MLB action on Sunday.

The Houston Astros will look to complete the four game sweep and head into their series with Cleveland with momentum after taking both halves of the doubleheader on Saturday. In the top half, the ‘Stros won 4-3 behind two RBIs and a home run from George Springer and Carlos Correa with Correa adding a double as well as Josh Reddick going 3 for 5 at the dish. Justin Verlander struck out 10 over six shutout innings while Will Harris got the win to improve to 5-3 and Hector Rondon picked up his 13th save of the year. In the second half, the Astros won 5-2, doing the bulk of their scoring with the home run as Jake Marisnick had a two run home run as part of his three RBI outing and Myles Straw and Brian McCann each had solo homers. Brad Peacock got the win in relief of Dallas Keuchel while Ryan Pressly picked up his 2nd save of the year. Charlie Morton will start the finale and is 15-3 with a 3.18 ERA and 197 strikeouts this season. In his career, Morton is 1-2 with a 5.40 ERA and 14 strikeouts against Baltimore.

Tommy Gilligan-USA TODAY Sports

The Baltimore Orioles will look to end a frustrating season on a high note and avoid the sweep after dropping the first three games of the set. In game one, DJ Stewart belted a three run homer while Adam Jones and Tim Beckham each added a double in the losing effort. Dylan Bundy took a no-decision after allowing three runs over six innings while striking out seven. Sean Gilmartin ended up with the loss to fall to 1-1 this season. In game two, Austin Wynns added an RBI as the O’s scoring their other run on a wild pitch as Yefry Ramirez took the loss to fall to 1-8 this season. Jimmy Yacabonis will start the finale and is 0-2 with a 6.00 ERA and 32 strikeouts this season. This will be Yacabonis’ first career start against Houston.

Houston is 26-8 in their last 34 games overall and 5-2 in their last 7 games against the AL East while the under is 4-0 in their last 4 road games. Baltimore is 6-24 in their last 30 games against the AL West and 13-38 in their last 51 games overall while the over is 13-3-1 in their last 17 Sunday games. Houston is 22-7 in the last 29 meetings between these two teams and 6-1 in the last 7 meetings between these two teams in Baltimore.

I’m sure the O’s want to send their fans home happy on a high note after arguably the most disappointing season in franchise history. However, the Astros have places to be next week, and will look to avoid a slip-up heading into their series with Cleveland and Morton has simply been one of, if not the best under-the-radar pitchers this season, and I think the Astros ride him to a sweep and a season-ending victory on Sunday.
