The Chicago Cubs also finished at 95-67 thanks to a 10-5 win over St. Louis in their last outing. Willson Contreras had a home run and two RBIs while Kris Bryant added a double and two RBIs of his own. Albert Almora Jr., Jason Heyward, Ben Zobrist and Anthony Rizzo each had an RBI with Zobrist hitting a triple while Rizzo went 4 for 4 with a pair of doubles. Javier Baez went 2 for 4 with a double while Daniel Murphy added a two-bagger of his own to round out Chicago’s offense in the win. Allen Webster picked up the win to improve to 1-0 in a game that saw 9 different pitchers take the mound for the Cubs in the victory. Jose Quintana will start game 163 and is 13-11 with a 4.09 ERA and 154 strikeouts this season. In his career, Quintana is 6-2 with a 1.60 ERA and 63 strikeouts against Milwaukee.

Milwaukee is 4-0 in their last 4 road games and 22-7 in their last 29 games overall while the over is 5-1 in their last 6 games following a win. Chicago is 4-1 in their last 5 division matchups and 4-1 in their last 5 games overall while the under is 10-3 in their last 13 home games. Milwaukee is 7-3 in the last 10 meetings between these two teams.

This game could honestly go either way, and I’d want to win this if I were either team as you don’t want to take on the Dodgers or Rockies in a one game playoff. However, I’m giving a lean to the Cubs because they didn’t have to travel for this game on short rest and Quintana has done a good job stifling the Brewers this season, going 4-1 with a 2.17 ERA this season against Milwaukee. We may not hear a starter until close to first pitch, so I’m going Cubs on the quick turnaround.
