Atlanta Braves vs. Los Angeles Dodgers - 10/8/18 MLB Pick, Odds, and Prediction

Dale Zanine-USA TODAY Sports

For the Monday Game 4, the Dodgers will be sending out Rich Hill. This will be Hill’s first postseason start following 132.7 innings with a 11-5 record ad a 3.66 ERA this year.

Cody Bellinger comes in as the Dodgers’ top hitter this season, finishing out the regular campaign on 145 hits, 84 runs, 25 homers and 76 RBI. In Game 3, Bellinger came up empty 0-for-4.

Over on the Braves’ side, after a little delay in the official announcement they're going with Mike Foltynewicz in Game 4. Foltynewicz is 13-10 with a 2.85 ERA this year.

Atlanta’s big hitter this year is Freddie Freeman, who finished the regular season on 191 hits, 94 runs, 23 homers and 98 RBI. On Sunday, Freeman hit a key solo homer in the sixth inning that helped keep the Braves alive.

The Dodgers are 7-1 in their last eight Divisional Playoff games and 7-2 in their last eight road games versus a team with a winning record. LA is 27-11 in their last 38 overall and 8-4 in their last 12 road games.

Meanwhile, the Braves are 6-0 in their last six home games and 4-1 in their last five in game four of a series. Atlanta is 8-2 in their last 10 Monday games and 2-4 in their last six playoff home games.

Foltynewicz lasted just two innings in the NLDS opener, allowing four runs on three hits. He gave up a pair of homers and three walks in his first career playoff appearance.

As for Hill, he had a nice postseason last year, tallying a 2.55 ERA over four starts. He'll be looking to pick up where he left off.

LA was right there in Game 3 and could have gotten a win—or at least sent it to extras—had another couple of dominoes fallen their way in key situations. I’m going to go back to the proverbial well here and take the Dodgers.
