The Line: Milwaukee Brewers / Los Angeles Dodgers --- Over/Under: See the Latest Odds
The Los Angeles Dodgers and the Milwaukee Brewers meet in game two of the NLCS from Miller Park in MLB action on Saturday.
The Los Angeles Dodgers will look to bounce back after dropping game one on Friday by a final score of 6-5. Manny Machado led the Dodgers with three RBIs, going 2 for 4 with a solo home run while Chris Taylor went 3 for 5 with an RBI triple and Matt Kemp added an RBI to round out L.A.’s scoring in the loss. Yasmani Grandal chipped in a base knock to cap off the Dodgers’ offense in the losing effort. Clayton Kershaw ended up with the loss, allowing five runs, four earned, on six hits over just three innings of work to fall to 1-1 in the postseason. Hyun-Jin Ryu will start game two and is 1-0 with a 0.00 ERA and 8 strikeouts this postseason. In his career, Ryu is 1-0 with a 2.45 ERA and 4 strikeouts against Milwaukee.

The Milwaukee Brewers will look to go ahead 2-0 after taking game one on Friday. Domingo Santana led the charge with two RBIs while Brandon Woodruff and Jesus Aguilar each added a solo home run. Ryan Braun and Hernan Perez each added an RBI as well to round out Milwaukee’s scoring in the win, while Lorenzo Cain went 3 for 5 at the dish. Travis Shaw, Mike Moustakas, Manny Pina and Orlando Arcia each added a base hit to cap off the Brewers’ offense in the win. Woodruff got the win on the mound as well in relief, striking out four, while Corey Knebel picked up the save. Wade Miley will start game two and is 0-0 with a 0.00 ERA and 2 strikeouts this postseason. In his career, Miley is 4-5 with a 3.55 ERA and 66 strikeouts against the Dodgers.
Los Angeles is 1-11 in Ryu’s last 12 road starts against a team with a winning record and 28-11 in their last 39 games overall while the over is 4-1-1 in their last 6 games against a left-handed starter. Milwaukee is 8-0 in Miley’s last 8 starts and 24-6 in their last 30 games overall while the under is 5-1 in their last 6 games against the NL West.
The Dodgers are too good of a team to go down 0-2, and Ryu has been on fire, allowing just one run in his last four starts spanning 26 innings. However, Ryu’s ERA jumps up to 3.58 on the road as opposed to just 1.15 at home this season and the Brewers are simply on fire right now. While the Dodgers almost completed the comeback on friday, the Brewers just keep ending up with the win no matter what the situation. Miley has also allowed just an unearned run in 13 innings against the Dodgers this season, so I’ll take a shot with Milwaukee on Saturday.
