The Boston Red Sox and the Los Angeles Dodgers meet in game five of the World Series from Dodger Stadium in MLB action on Sunday.

The Boston Red Sox will look to seal the deal and close out the series after taking game four in come from behind fashion by a final score of 9-6 on Saturday. Steve Pearce led Boston with four RBIs, going 2 for 4 with a solo homer and a double while Mitch Moreland added a three run shot. Rafael Devers and Xander Bogaerts each added a base hit to round out the scoring for the Red Sox in the win while Brock Holt added a double. Andrew Benintendi and Christian Vazquez each added a base hit to cap off the offense for Boston in the win. Eduardo Rodriguez didn’t factor in the decision after allowing four runs over 5.2 innings of work, while Joe Kelly got the win in relief. David Price will start game five and is 2-1 with a 4.26 ERA and 18 strikeouts this postseason.

Jayne Kamin-Oncea-USA TODAY Sports

The Los Angeles Dodgers will look to live to right another day after dropping game four on Saturday. Yasiel Puig belted a three run home run while Enrique Hernandez added a two run shot. Justin Turner went 3 for 5 with a double and Chris Taylor had two hits while Max Muncy and Manny Machado each added a base hit to finish off the Dodgers’ offense in the losing effort. Rich Hill allowed just one run over 6.1 innings of work, not factoring in the decision while Dylan Floro took the loss in relief. Clayton Kershaw will start game five and is 2-2 with a 3.91 ERA and 21 strikeouts this postseason.

Boston is 15-3 in their last 18 World Series games and 6-1 in their last 7 road games while the over is 17-6-1 in their last 24 games overall. Los Angeles is 18-6 in their last 24 home games and 22-11 in their last 33 games overall while the under is 5-1-2 in their last 8 home games. Boston is 10-4 in the last 14 meetings between these two teams.

Taking Kershaw at home in a must-win game for the Dodgers is tempting, but the fact is that the Red Sox have already got to Kershaw once this series and have a ton of momentum after rallying to win game 5. This is a game I’ll probably just watch rather than bet, but if forced to pick a side, I like Boston to carry over their momentum to a win on Sunday and to lift the championship.
