The Line: Doosan Bears -120 / Kiwoom Heroes +100 -- Over/Under: 9
The Kiwoom Heroes and Doosan Bears meet Wednesday morning in South Korea KBO preseason baseball action.
The Kiwoom Heroes are 2-2 in preseason action and are coming off back-to-back victories, which includes a late 3-2 victory over the LG Twins. In that game, the Heroes scored two runs in the final inning to come away with a thrilling victory. In the result, Lee Jung-hoo and Kim Gyu-min combined for two hits and three RBI while Lee Seung-ho allowed two runs and six hits in five innings of work. The Kiwoom Heroes pitching staff has allowed a combined five runs in their last 18 innings and that’s been key during these back-to-back victories. The Kiwoom Heroes haven’t won three straight games since October.
The Doosan Bears are 3-1 in preseason action and have won three straight games. The Doosan Bears recently survived a comeback against the SK Wyverns and won 7-5 to close the deal. in the victory, Oh Jae-il and Jose Miguel Fernandez combined for two hits and four RBI while Chris Flexen allowed three hits and zero runs in five innings of work. The Doosan Bears have been one of the better offensive teams this preseason, averaging 5.5 runs through four games. The Doosan Bears have also won 12 of their last 13 games that dates back to the regular season, so it’s safe to say they’re in terrific form.
The Doosan Bears have won each of the last five games against the Kiwoom Heroes and that includes a 5-0 win last week. Six of the last nine meetings between the Bears and Heroes have produced at least nine runs.
Preseason results can be all over the place with so many rotating players and what not, so you shouldn't make bets 100 percent based on form. However, the Doosan Bears remain the hottest team in the league with wins in 12 of their last 13 games and three straight preseason victories. The Doosan Bears have also won five straight games against the Kiwoom Heroes, so it's safe to say they have their number as well. I'm not stepping in front of the Doosan Bears until there's a reason to.
