The Line: KIA Tigers +105 / NC Dinos -125 -- Over/Under: 9.5
The KIA Tigers and NC Dinos meet Friday morning in South Korea KBO preseason baseball action.
The KIA Tigers are 2-2-1 in preseason action and are coming off back-to-back victories. The KIA Tigers held on in their last game to beat the Samsung Lions, taking the lead late in the seventh inning and producing an impressive victory. In the contest, Park Chan-ho and Baek Yong-hwan combined for three hits and two RBI while Hong Gun-hee allowed one hit and one run while striking out three in three innings. The KIA Tigers have scored a combined 12 runs in their last two games, easily an improvement from how the bats started this preseason.
The NC Dinos could use a victory considering they’re a rough 1-4 in preseason play. The NC Dinos are coming off a 1-4 loss at the hands of the Lotte Giants and have allowed a combined 24 runs in their last four games. In their most recent effort, No Jin-hyuk and Park Min-woo combined for one hit and one RBI while Drew Rucinski allowed zero runs and three hits while striking out three in two innings. The NC Dinos have scored three or less runs in four of their first five preseason games and have been held to one or less runs in each of their last 15 innings. It’s a mess right now from the NC Dinos.
The KIA Tigers have won five of the last seven meetings against the NC Dinos, which includes an 8-6 win a little over a week ago. Four of the last nine meetings between the Tigers and Dinos have produced double-digit runs.
The KIA Tigers have been the better and more successful team this preseason and have won five of the last seven meetings against the NC Dinos. The NC Dinos are 1-4 in preseason action and have scored three or less runs in four of their first five preseason contests. While things can usually turn around, I'm not laying juice with the NC Dinos. These are two teams that appear to be heading in different directions and I'll gladly side with the more favorable price and the KIA Tigers.
