The Kiwoom Heroes and Hanwha Eagles meet Saturday morning in South Korea KBO baseball action.
The Kiwoom Heroes improve to 3-1 in the regular season and won their recent game comfortably when they took a five run lead into the bottom of the seventh inning. The Kiwoom Heroes have scored five or more runs in five of their last six games. In their victory, Lee Jung-hoo and Park Byung-ho combined for six hits and five RBI while Lee Seung-ho allowed two runs and three hits in 6.2 innings of work. The Kiwoom Heroes have won seven of their last eight games dating back to the preseason. Han Hyun-hee gets the ball tonight for the Kiwoom Heroes.
The Hanwha Eagles drop to 2-2 in the regular season and have won just two of their last 13 games overall. The Hanwha Eagles offense just can’t get going and they’ve scored three or less runs in three of their first four games. In the loss, Oh Sun-jin and Jung Jin-ho combined for four hits and three RBI while Jang Min-jae allowed three runs and seven hits in five innings of work. The Hanwha Eagles just can’t get going and they’re a hard team to back until they break out of this funk. Kim Ee-whan gets the ball tonight for the Hanwha Eagles.
The Hanwha Eagles have won four of the last six meetings against the Kiwoom Heroes but have lost seven of the last 11 meetings. Four of the last five meetings produced single digit run totals.
The Kiwoom Heroes should not only be the pick here because they’ve been the more impressive team up to this point, but the Hanwha Eagles are fade material until further notice as I’ve mentioned in previous articles. The Hanwha Eagles have won just twice in their last 13 games and that’s bad enough to become automatic fades until further notice. I don’t love this price at all and usually shy away from laying massive juice, but it beats the alternative. Backing the Hanwha Eagles isn’t an option right now.
