The Line: Hanwha Eagles +160 / Kiwoom Heroes -180 -- Over/Under: 9

The Kiwoom Heroes and Hanwha Eagles meet Friday morning in South Korea KBO baseball action.

The Kiwoom Heroes took two of three from the KIA Tigers and it’s been the pitching staff going back to the preseason that’s led the way for this club. The Kiwoom Heroes are allowing an average of four runs through their first three regular season games. In their last outing, Park Dong-won and Taylor Motter combined for three hits and four RBI while Choi Won-tae allowed two runs and nine hits in five innings of work. The Kiwoom Heroes have allowed three or less runs in five of their last seven games. Lee Seung-ho gets the ball tonight for the Kiwoom Heroes.

The Hanwha Eagles took two of three from the SK Wyverns and have now won two of their last 12 games. The Hanwha Eagles have had a lot of issues that dates back toward the end of last regular season, but starting things with a series win is a positive step in the right direction. In their last effort, Jared Hoying and Song Kwang-min combined for four hits and four RBI while Jang Shi-hwan allowed two runs and nine hits in six innings of work. The Hanwha Eagles have to keep the positive results rolling in order to build trust with KBO bettors. Jang Min-jae gets the ball tonight for the Hanwha Eagles.

The Hanwha Eagles have won four of the last five meetings against the Kiwoom Heroes but have lost six of the last 10 meetings. The last two meetings have combined for just four runs.

The Hanwha Eagles are coming off a positive result and they deserve some credit, but they're also a team that's won just twice in their last 12 tries. The Hanwha Eagles have to show more on a larger sample size if they're going to be trusted. The Kiwoom Heroes have been the far more consistent and more trustworthy team, and their pitching staff has been lights out dating back to the preseason. I have more confidence in the Kiwoom Heroes right now.

Randy’s Pick Kiwoom Heroes -180
