The LG Twins and SK Wyverns meet Wednesday morning in South Korea KBO baseball action.
The LG Twins have won back-to-back games to get to a .500 record and the offense has picked up during this stretch. The LG Twins have produced a combined 19 runs in their last two games and have now scored no less than five runs in four of their six regular season contests. In their last win, Kim Hyun-soo and Roberto Ramos combined for five hits and five RBI while Cha Woo-chan allowed four runs and six hits in six innings of work. The LG Twins pitching still has room for improvement, but they have a fighting chance if the offense continues to produce at a high level. Lim Chan-gyu gets the ball tonight for the LG Twins.
The SK Wyverns have lost four straight games and are now 1-5 in the regular season. The SK Wyverns are allowing an average of 7.5 runs during their four-game losing streak and have lost nine of their last 10 games overall. In their last loss, Yoon Suk-min and Han Dong-min combined for four hits and five RBI while Nick Kingham allowed eight runs and 10 hits in 3.2 innings of work. The SK Wyverns appear to be a complete mess right now and aren’t getting out of this funk until the pitching staff shows drastic improvement. Ricardo Pinto gets the ball tonight for the SK Wyverns.
The LG Twins have won four of the last seven meetings against the SK Wyverns. Nine of the last 12 meetings between the Twins and Wyverns have produced double-digit run totals.
While we’re still very early in the regular season, we’re starting to see trends develop, and one of those strong trends is that the SK Wyverns don’t provide much betting value these days and their pitching staff seems to be getting worse. The LG Twins have run hot and cold dating back to the preseason, but their offense shows up nightly and they’ve had the slight upper hand over the SK Wyverns in recent meetings.
The LG Twins can lay an egg at any moment, but backing the SK Wyverns in their current form doesn’t seem all that intriguing.
