The Line: Doosan Bears -165 / Lotte Giants +135 -- Over/Under: 10
The Lotte Giants and Doosan Bears meet Wednesday morning in South Korea KBO baseball action.
The Lotte Giants drop to 5-1 in the regular season after giving up 11 runs and 20 hits in the first game of this series. The Lotte Giants offense has still produced no less than four runs in each of their last 11 games. In their losing effort, Dixon Machado and Jung Hoon combined for four hits and three RBI while Jang Won-sam allowed five runs and 10 hits in three innings of work. The Lotte Giants offense is averaging seven runs per game during this regular season. Seo Jun-won gets the ball tonight for the Lotte Giants.
The Doosan Bears are 4-2 in regular season action and have won four of their last five games. The Doosan Bears offense has produced 24 runs and 38 hits in their last two games and the offense has scored five or more runs in four of their last five games. In their victory, Kim Jae-hwan and Oh Jae-won combined for six hits and six RBI while Raul Alcantara allowed four runs and 12 hits in five innings of work. The Doosan Bears offense is averaging 7.1 runs per game during this regular season. Lee Young-ha gets the ball tonight for the Doosan Bears.
The Doosan Bears have won four straight against the Lotte Giants and six of the last eight meetings overall. Five of the last seven meetings between the Giants and Bears have produced double-digit run totals.
Once again, the over is probably the play here based on both offenses tearing the cover off the ball and five of the last seven meetings against each other producing double-digit run totals. Still, I'm going to side with the Lotte Giants, a team that continues to get disrespected by oddsmakers and continues to find ways to win. The Giants didn't cash for us last night, but they've made us a lot of money these last couple of weeks and are 10-2 dating back to the preseason.
I'll continue to back the Lotte Giants until it no longer makes sense.
