The KT Wiz Suwon and Samsung Lions meet Saturday morning in South Korea KBO baseball action.
The KT Wiz Suwon got a much needed victory last night where they scored 14 runs, but they’re still 2-7 in regular season action. After getting shutout and producing six hits, the KT Wiz Suwon explode for 14 runs and 16 hits. In that victory, Kang Baek-ho and Yoo Han-joon combined for two hits and five RBI while So Hyeong-jun allowed five runs and nine hits in 6.1 innings of work. The KT Wiz Suwon have scored double-digit runs in three of their last six games. Kim Min gets the ball tonight for the KT Wiz Suwon.
The Samsung Lions could use a win here after splitting their last eight games. The Samsung Lions have allowed a combined 19 runs and 24 hits in their last two games. In their last effort, Lee Won-seok and Koo Ja-wook combined for three hits and three RBI while Won Tae-in allowed five runs and seven hits in five innings of work. The Samsung Lions have now lost nine of their last 13 games dating back to the preseason. Yoon Sung-hwan gets the ball tonight for the Samsung Lions.
The KT Wiz Suwon have won eight of the last 11 meetings against the Samsung Lions, but they’ve lost three of the last five meetings. Seven of the last 10 meetings have produced single-digit run totals.
The KT Wiz Suwon snapped out of their funk last night and while they’re a rough 2-7 in the regular season, they’ve shown us enough promise offensively that convinces you they can string some wins together if things break right. In other words, the KT Wiz Suwon are probably better than their record indicates. The Samsung Lions continue to be hit or miss and when things are bad, they have the tendency to be bad, bad. The KT Wiz Suwon have also won eight of the last 11 meetings against the Samsung Lions.
Give me the KT Wiz Suwon for the victory.
