The Line: Samsung Lions +120 / KT Wiz Suwon -150 -- Over/Under: 9
The KT Wiz Suwon and Samsung Lions meet Sunday morning in South Korea KBO baseball action.
The KT Wiz Suwon have a chance to complete the sweep and have produced 24 runs and 32 hits in their last two games. The KT Wiz Suwon haven’t won three straight games at any point since late August of last year, so this is some of the best baseball we’ve seen from them in a while. In their last win, Yoo Han-joon and Mel Rojas combined for three hits and four RBI while Kim Min allowed three runs and four hits in six innings of work. The KT Wiz Suwon are still a rough 3-7 through 10 regular season games. Odrisamer Despaigne gets the ball tonight for the KT Wiz Suwon.
The Samsung Lions could use a feel good victory after losing four of their last six games. The Samsung Lions pitching staff has now allowed double-digit runs in three of their last six games. In their latest loss, Kim Dong-yeop and Lee Won-seok combined for two hits and three RBI while Yoon Sung-hwan allowed six runs and eight hits in two innings of work. The Samsung Lions have lost 10 of their last 14 games overall. Ben Lively gets the ball tonight for the Samsung Lions.
The KT Wiz Suwon have won nine of the last 12 meetings against the Samsung Lions, but they’ve lost three of the last six meetings. Seven of the last 11 meetings have produced single-digit run totals.
The KT Wiz Suwon have absolutely dominated this series and have been the better team overall this season. The KT Wiz Suwon have also owned the Samsung Lions in more than this series, winning nine of the last 12 meetings. There's little reason to back the Samsung Lions based on what we've seen this season and the history between these two sides. With that said, Odrisamer Despaigne is not a good pitcher to say the least and we know that based on his time in the major leagues. Despaigne got rocked every time he took the mound and had an ERA over five while bouncing from team to team.
I may later regret this, but I'll side with the Samsung Lions in this contest.
