The Doosan Bears and NC Dinos meet Tuesday morning in South Korea KBO baseball action.
The Doosan Bears look to keep the ball rolling after winning seven of their last 10 games. The Doosan Bears just took two of three from the KIA Tigers and are coming off a victory where they scored six runs on 15 hits. In the win, Oh Jae-il and Jung Soo-bin combined for five hits and five RBI while Raul Alcantara allowed one run and five hits in seven innings of work. The Doosan Bears have scored no less than four runs in each of their last six games.
The NC Dinos look for another victory to build on their six-game winning streak. The NC Dinos are coming off a win where they scored 11 runs and are averaging 6.3 runs per game in their last three contests. In their last effort, Kang Jin-sung and Kim Chan-hyung combined for two hits and five RBI while Drew Rucinski allowed two runs and eight hits in six innings of work. The NC Dinos are a ridiculous 10-1 in the regular season.
The Doosan Bears are 8-3-1 against the NC Dinos in the last 11 meetings, but they have yet to play each other since October of last year. Six of the last 10 meetings between the Bears and Dinos have produced double-digit run totals.
This should be a wonderful series between two of the better teams up to this point and two sides that bring a lot to the table. The Doosan Bears have been explosive on the offensive end and can never be counted out of a game due to countless innings where the produce crooked numbers. The NC Dinos are the best team in the league right now with a 10-1 record, and they've been getting it done on both sides, especially with their pitching staff that's been tough more times than not.
You can make a case for either side and this is probably one of those series where you simply chase the plus money. But I can't step in front of the NC Dinos with the way they're playing out of the gate. Kind of ride the hot hand until it runs cold.
