Uni Lions (10-16) Fubon Guardians (10-13)

Uni Lions (-108) Fubon Guardians (-127)
The Uni Lions (10-16) and the Fubon Guardians (10-13) will meet on Tuesday, May 19th for a 1st Stage regular-season matchup in the Chinese Professional Baseball League. It is a third-place versus fourth-place battle, who will come out victorious?
The Uni Lions are coming off a pretty embarrassing loss at the hands of the Chinatrust Brothers on Sunday by the score of 19-9. Uni was outplayed from start to finish, and their big holes in their pitching staff were magnified immensely. Uni only produced two scoreless innings in the loss, which is plainly abysmal. Uni was able to score nine runs, but all of them came after the game was well in hand for Chinatrust. Uni remains in last place in the CPBL standings, 1.5 games behind these Fubon Guardians.
Fubon was able to grab the major upset win over Rakuten in their last game, 9-7. Fubon finally put an end to their winless streak against Rakuten, as before that victory the Guardians were 0-7 against the Monkeys in 2020. Fubon still has a lot of work to do when it comes to getting in a good position in the CPBL standings. This a big series for the Guardians, as they may be able to pick up more feasible yet very imperative wins against a struggling and demoralized Uni team.
The betting lines show that this game should be competitive for at least a little while, as Fubon opens as the small favorite at -127 on the win line, while Uni is the minor underdog with a -108 price respectively. The total for this game is set at 13.5, which is high for baseball, but not for the good ole CPBL. This league is all about the offense, so 13.5 is very standard believe it or not.
I think the Guardians of Fubon are feeling fantastic after a huge win over Rakuten, and I do not think they are going to let their confidence go to waste. I have to take the team that is trending upwards rather than the team that is tumbling downwards. Give me Fubon at -127, as this is a very reasonable price to lay with the better team overall.
