The Line: SK Wyverns +160 / Kiwoom Heroes -200 -- Over/Under: 10
The Kiwoom Heroes and SK Wyverns meet Thursday morning in South Korea KBO baseball action.
The Kiwoom Heroes could use a win here after losing five of their last seven games. The Kiwoom Heroes allowed five runs and 11 hits in their last game and are allowing an average of five runs in their last three games. In their latest effort, Kim Ha-seong and Lee Jung-hoo combined for three hits and two RBI while Lee Seung-ho allowed two runs and five hits in five innings of work. The Kiwoom Heroes have split their last 10 games overall. Han Hyun-hee gets the ball tonight for the Kiwoom Heroes.
The SK Wyverns look for another win after just snapping a 10-game losing streak. The SK Wyverns have to feel good about getting in the win column, but they haven’t won back-to-back games since the first two contests of the preseason back in mid April. In their victory, Jamie Romak and Nam Tae-hyuk combined for five hits and three RBI while Park Jong-hoon allowed three runs and six hits in five innings of work. The SK Wyverns have lost 15 of their last 17 games overall. Moon Seung-won gets the ball tonight for the SK Wyverns.
The Kiwoom Heroes have won nine of the last 11 meetings against the SK Wyverns, which includes wins in three of the last four meetings. Fourteen of the last 17 meetings between the Kiwoom Heroes and SK Wyverns have produced single-digit run totals.
The SK Wyverns finally got in the win column, but they're still a team that was riding a 10-game losing streak and has lost 15 of their last 17 games dating back to the preseason. Sorry, it takes more than one victory to move the needle and make me want to get behind the SK Wyverns. The Kiwoom Heroes aren't the most trustworthy team in their own right, but they're playing much better ball than the Wyverns and have shown some recent life on the offensive end.
The SK Wyverns remain an automatic fade until they can string some successful performances together.
