The SK Wyverns and KIA Tigers meet Sunday morning in South Korea KBO baseball action.
The SK Wyverns need a victory here to snap a three-game losing streak. The SK Wyverns have allowed 10 runs and 17 hits in the first two games of this series and have allowed eight or more runs in four of their last six games. In their last effort, Jeong Jin-gi and Nam Tae-hyuk combined for four hits and two RBI while Kim Tae-hoon allowed four runs and five hits in six innings of work. The SK Wyverns have now lost 13 of their last 14 games overall. Ricardo Pinto gets the ball tonight for the SK Wyverns.
The KIA Tigers look for another victory to build on their five-game winning streak. The KIA Tigers allowed three runs in their last contest and are allowing 1.4 runs per game during their five-game winning streak. In their last effort, Kim Sun-bin and Na Ji-wan combined for three hits and four RBI while Aaron Brooks allowed three runs and seven hits in 6.2 innings of work. The KIA Tigers have won nine of their last 12 games overall. Lee Min-woo gets the ball tonight for the KIA Tigers.
The KIA Tigers have won eight of the last 12 meetings against the SK Wyverns. Nine of the last 13 meetings between the Wyverns and Tigers have produced single-digit run totals.
For those who have followed along since the preseason know the SK Wyverns are a team we’ve blindly faded from the start and are a team that you should continue to do so. The SK Wyverns are simply a bad baseball team that doesn’t show much signs of improvement and has a pitching staff that allows crooked numbers at an unreal percentage. It also doesn’t hurt that the KIA Tigers are playing some of their best ball of the season right now and have won eight of the last 12 meetings against the SK Wyverns.
Keep the trend up of fading the SK Wyverns and you’ll make nice profit long term.
