The KT Wiz Suwon and Doosan Bears meet Tuesday morning in South Korea KBO baseball action.
The KT Wiz Suwon lost two of three games against the Kiwoom Heroes and have split their last six games overall. The KT Wiz Suwon pitching staff needs to get their act together, as they’ve allowed a combined 22 runs and 26 hits in their last two games. In their last effort, Sim Woo-jun and Mel Rojas combined for four hits and seven RBI while Bae Je-seong allowed seven runs and seven hits in five innings of work. The KT Wiz Suwon have lost six of their last 10 games overall.
The Doosan Bears took two of three games from the Lotte Giants and have split their last four games overall. The Doosan Bears have allowed four or less runs in four of their last six games and have won six straight games when allowing less than six runs. In their last effort, Park Kun-woo and Hur Kyoung-min combined for four hits and three RBI while Chris Flexen allowed two runs and three hits in five innings of work. The Doosan Bears have won 11 of their last 18 games overall.
The Doosan Bears have won five of the last seven meetings against the KT Wiz Suwon, including a 13-12 victory when these clubs met about three weeks ago. Five of the last nine meetings between the Bears and Wiz Suwon have produced double-digit run totals.
The KT Wiz Suwon pitching staff was absolutely rocked in their last two games and it’s the type of performance that doesn’t get me excited about backing them their next game out. The Doosan Bears appeared to find their offense agains the Lotte Giants and are one of the scarier teams in the league when their offense finds its form. The Doosan Bears have also won five of the last seven meetings against the KT Wiz Suwon and scored 13 runs against them their last time out.
I’m going to side with the Doosan Bears, as their offense against a struggling pitching staff is a bad combination for the KT Wiz Suwon.
