Samsung Lions vs. SK Wyverns – 6/6/20 KBO Baseball Pick, Odds, and Prediction

2020-06-06 04:00:00 EDT

The SK Wyverns and Samsung Lions meet Saturday morning in South Korea KBO baseball action.

The SK Wyverns look to keep the ball rolling after winning six of their last eight games. The SK Wyverns allowed just one run and seven hits in their last victory, and they’ve allowed four or less runs in four of their last six games. In their last effort, Lee Heung-ryun and Choi Hang combined for two hits and three RBI while Ricardo Pinto allowed one run and seven hits in six innings of work. The SK Wyverns have split their last 14 games overall. Park Jong-hoon gets the ball tonight for the SK Wyverns.

The Samsung Lions could use a victory here after splitting their last six games. The Samsung Lions can’t be the most confident team in the world right now considering they’ve been outscored 15-1 in their last two games. In their latest effort, park hae min and Kim Dong-yeop combined for four hits and one RBI while Kim Dae-woo allowed two runs and three hits in five innings of work. The Samsung Lions have lost 13 of their last 23 games overall. Choi Chae-heung gets the ball tonight for the Samsung Lions.

The SK Wyverns have won 11 of the last 15 meetings against the Samsung Lions, but these teams have played just once since September of last year. Eleven of the last 15 meetings between the Wyverns and Lions have produced single-digit run totals.

As I mentioned in the previous article, the SK Wyverns should be favored because they’re playing the better baseball right now, which includes hanging with the NC Dinos in the last series. However, we’ve seen the SK Wyverns be nothing but inconsistent these last few weeks and it wouldn’t be surprising to see them drop a stinker here. So, like in Friday’s game, I’m leaning toward the under, as both offenses have been other cold for the most part and 11 of the last 15 meetings between these teams have produced single-digit run totals. The total seems a bit safer than getting behind either of these teams.

Give me the under nine runs.
