The Chinatrust Brothers (18-15) and the Uni Lions (13-22) will meet on Sunday, June 7th for a 1st Stage regular-season matchup in the Chinese Professional Baseball League (CPBL). Chinatrust will look to complete the three-game sweep on Sunday.
The Chinatrust Brothers defeated the Uni Lions once again on Saturday by the final score of 14-3. It was all Chinatrust from start to finish in this game, as the Brother's offense was rolling. Chinatrust got the scoring started in the bottom of the second and third innings, where they scored two runs in each, taking an early 4-0 lead. Chinatrust would add another two in the bottom of the fifth to make it a 6-0 lead. Uni was able to crack Chinatrust's pitching staff in the top of the sixth, scoring their only three runs of the game and making it a 6-3 game. Chinatrust absolutely exploded in the bottom half of the sixth for eight runs, making it 14-3. The rest of the game was scoreless and the Brothers earned their 18th win of the season and their fourth straight overall.
Chinatrust scored their 14 runs on 14 hits and two errors, while the Uni Lions scored three runs on eight hits and two errors as well. For Uni, this is their third straight loss overall, as they are now nine games under .500 in the CPBL standings. It has been a downward spiral for the Lions recently, and I would not be surprised at all if Chinatrust was able to pull off the sweep on Sunday.
The betting line for this game opens with the Chinatrust Brothers as the large favorites yet again with a -320 price on the Win-Line. The Uni Lions open as the major underdog with a +240 price on the Win-Line. The total for this game is set at 12.5, with both the over and the under set at -110 odds.
After going 2-0 on the total bets yesterday, I think we stick around with the total in this game. Chinatrust should win this game, and if they do not, it will be a shootout offensively. Win or lose, I see Chinatrust scoring at least double-digits yet again, therefore I will take the over 12.5 runs.
