The NC Dinos and Doosan Bears meet Thursday morning in South Korea KBO baseball action.
The NC Dinos look for another victory after winning six of their last seven games. The NC Dinos are coming off a rare loss where they allowed nine runs, but they’ve only lost back-to-back games once this regular season. In their last effort, Yang Eui-ji and Lee Myung-gi combined for three hits and one RBI while Drew Rucinski allowed two runs and three hits in six innings of work. The NC Dinos have won 20 of their last 26 games overall. Mike Wright gets the ball tonight for the NC Dinos.
The Doosan Bears also look for a big series win after winning five of their last six games. The Doosan Bears have produced a combined 17 runs and 22 hits in the first two games of this series. In their last effort, Kim Jae-hwan and Oh Jae-il combined for three hits and four RBI while Raul Alcántara allowed one run and six hits in seven innings of work. The Doosan Bears have won 16 of their last 26 games overall. Lee Young-ha gets the ball tonight for the Doosan Bears.
The NC Dinos are 6-4-1 in their last 11 meetings against the Doosan Bears and have won three of the first five meetings this season. Seven of the last 12 meetings between the Dinos and Bears have produced double-digit run totals.
We know the Doosan Bears are a dangerous team and they probably win the first two games of this series if the pitching staff didn't completely fall apart in game one. The Doosan Bears have the offensive firepower to counter the NC Dinos pitching that's been dominant all year. So, the plus money is attractive yet again, but backing the NC Dinos blindly ha worked for us all season long, and they've lost back-to-back games just once all season. The NC Dinos are 24-7 through 31 games and are allowing an average of 4.1 runs per game. No reason to step in front of that.
As usual, I want to be on the side of the NC Dinos.
