The Kiwoom Heroes and Lotte Giants meet Tuesday morning in South Korea KBO baseball action.
The Kiwoom Heroes have split their last eight games, but they’re fresh off taking two of three games from the NC Dinos. The Kiwoom Heroes have produced a combined 23 runs and 25 hits in their last two games and have scored five or more runs in 10 of their last 14 games. In their last effort, Park Byung-ho and Kim Hye-sung combined for two hits and five RBI while Jo Young-gun allowed three runs and three hits in 2.2 innings of work. The Kiwoom Heroes have won 10 of their last 15 games overall.
The Lotte Giants have won seven of their last nine games, but they’re coming off a series where they lost two of three games to the LG Twins. The Lotte Giants have produced a combined 13 runs and 24 hits in their last two games and have scored five or more runs in six of their last seven games. In the latest effort, Lee Dae-ho and Shin Bon-gi combined for three hits and four RBI while Adrian Sampson allowed six runs and 10 hits in 5.1 innings of work. The Lotte Giants have lost 17 of their last 30 games overall.
The Kiwoom Heroes have won nine of their last 11 meetings against the Lotte Giants, but they’ve lost two of the three meetings this year. Six of the last nine meetings between the Heroes and Giants have produced single-digit run totals.
The Kiwoom Heroes are on fire offensively and just took two of three games from the best team in the league, so they have to be feeling great about themselves right now. The same can be said for the Lotte Giants, who have won seven of their last nine games, but they’ve been going through hot and cold streaks and right when it looks like they’re putting it together, they let you down. The Kiwoom Heroes have won nine of the last 11 meetings against the Giants and many of those games weren’t all that close.
I’m leaning toward the Kiwoom Heroes in this game.
