The Kiwoom Heroes and SK Wyverns meet Friday morning in South Korea KBO baseball action.
The Kiwoom Heroes just took two of three games from the Lotte Giants and have split their last eight games. The Kiwoom Heroes have allowed a combined five runs and 19 hits in their last two games. In their last effort, Jeon Byung-woo and Ju Hyo-sang combined for two hits and two RBI while Lee Seung-ho allowed one run and seven hits in seven innings of work. The Kiwoom Heroes have won 12 of their last 18 games overall. Han Hyun-hee gets the ball tonight for the Kiwoom Heroes.
The SK Wyverns were just swept by the KT Wiz Suwon and have also lost seven of their last eight games. The SK Wyverns offense has produced five or less runs in each of their last 10 games. In their last effort, Choi Jeong and Kim Kang-min combined for three hits and two RBI while Park Jong-hoon allowed five runs and eight hits in five innings of work. The SK Wyverns have lost 10 of their last 14 games overall. Moon Seung-won gets the ball tonight for the SK Wyverns.
The Kiwoom Heroes have won 10 of the last 12 meetings against the SK Wyverns and that includes wins in four of the last six meetings. Five of the last eight meetings between the Heroes and Wyverns have produced double-digit run totals.
The Kiwoom Heroes are playing some decent baseball over the last week or so, and they just took two of three games from a hot Lotte Giants squad. The SK Wyverns continue to pile up the losses left and right, and they have an offense that’s scored five or less runs in 10 straight games. It’s hard to back the SK Wyverns with any confidence these days. The Kiwoom Heroes have all dominated the SK Wyverns this season and dating back to last year, only adding to the confidence of this pick. I simply can’t show SK Wyverns much attention until they break out of this concerning funk.
I’ll lay the juice and side with the Kiwoom Heroes to win game one of this series.
