KIA Tigers vs. Samsung Lions
KBO Baseball: Friday, June 19, 2020 at 5:30 am
The Line: Samsung Lions +135 / KIA Tigers -155 -- Over/Under: 8.5
The KIA Tigers and Samsung Lions meet Friday morning in South Korea KBO baseball action.
The KIA Tigers look to keep the ball rolling after winning six of their last eight games. The KIA Tigers pitching staff has allowed four or less runs in four of their last five games. In their last effort, Choi Hyung-woo and Park Chan-ho combined for three hits and four RBI while Lee Min-woo allowed three runs and four hits in five innings of work. The KIA Tigers have won 21 of their last 33 games overall. Drew Gagnon gets the ball tonight for the KIA Tigers.
The Samsung Lions also look to stay hot after winning six of their last eight games. The Samsung Lions took two of three games from the Doosan Bears, but they’re coming off a loss where they allowed seven runs and 12 hits. In their latest effort, Lee Hak-ju and Lee Sung-gyu combined for two hits and three RBI while Heo Yoon-dong allowed three runs and five hits in five innings of work. The Samsung Lions have won 13 of their last 20 games overall. David Buchanan gets the ball tonight for the Samsung Lions.
The Samsung Lions have won four of their last six meetings against the KIA Tigers, but they lost the last meeting 12-3 back in early May. Four of the last eight meetings between the Lions and Tigers have produced double-digit run totals.
The Samsung Lions are playing some good baseball heading into this matchup and have had the upper hand against the Tigers in past recent meetings. However, it's the KIA Tigers who have played the slightly better ball over the last few weeks and have been far more trustworthy with the money. The Samsung Lions can run extremely hot and cold and have been a hard team to trust night to night. The KIA Tigers also were able to enjoy the night off last night due to a rain delay, so we're getting a hot and rested team for a reasonable price.
I'll side with the KIA Tigers to draw first blood in this intriguing series.
