Uni Lions (+125) - Fubon Guardians (-155)
The Fubon Guardians (17-23) and the Uni Lions (19-26) will meet on Sunday, June 21st for a 1st Stage regular-season matchup in the Chinese Professional Baseball League (CPBL). This will be the rubber match in this three-game series between Fubon and Uni.
The Uni Lions defeated the Fubon Guardians by the final score of 13-4 on Saturday. This win was Uni's 19th of the season, putting them within a 0.5 game of Fubon for third place in the CPBL standings. A win for Uni puts them ahead of Fubon and clinches a series win this weekend, which is always an added bonus. The Uni Lions were big favorites to win Saturday's game and for good reason.
Uni took an early lead in the top of the first inning by scoring two runs to make it 2-0. Uni would add various totals of runs in the second, third, fifth, and sixth innings to extend its lead to 11-0 by the end of six innings. In the top of the eighth, Uni scored yet again, but this time Fubon had an answer of its own by scoring four runs to make it 12-4. The four-run consolation was obviously not enough for Fubon, and for good measure, Uni added another run in the top of the ninth to get its run total to lucky number 13.
The betting line in this game has the Fubon Guardians as the favorites with a -155 price on the Win-Line. The Uni Lions are the underdogs with a +125 price respectively. The total in this game is set at 13.5 runs, with both the over and the under set at -110 odds each.
These are the two most inconsistent teams in the CPBL for sure, so just because Uni exploded in game two of this series, it does not mean they are on their way to another easy win on Sunday. I do think the Uni Lions carry some good value, though, at +125. I think this game can definitely go either way, so I will take my chances with the Uni Lions on the money line with plus money.
