SK Wyverns vs. LG Twins
KBO Baseball: Saturday, June 27, 2020 at 4:00 am
The Line: LG Twins -140 / SK Wyverns +110 -- Over/Under: 9.5
The SK Wyverns and LG Twins meet Saturday morning in South Korea KBO baseball action at the Incheon SK Happy Dream Stadium.
The SK Wyverns need a win after losing eight of their last 10 games. The SK Wyverns pitching staff has allowed seven or more runs in four of their last six games. In their last effort, Ko Jong-wook and Jamie Romak combined for three hits and four RBI while Lee Geon-wook allowed zero runs and zero hits in six innings of work. The SK Wyverns have lost 12 of their last 15 games overall. Ricardo Pinto gets the ball tonight for the SK Wyverns.
The LG Twins could use a feel good victory to rebound from a brutal seven-game losing streak. The LG Twins pitching staff has allowed five or more runs in seven of their last eight games. In their last effort, Jeon Min-su and Oh Ji-hwan combined for two hits while Casey Kelly allowed five runs and five hits in six innings of work. The LG Twins have lost 11 of their last 19 games overall. Jung Chan-heon gets the ball tonight for the LG Twins.
The LG Twins have won five of the last seven games against the SK Wyverns and are 5-3 against them this year overall. Eight of the last 12 meetings between the Twins and Wyverns have produced single-digit run totals.
The LG Twins have the pitching advantage in this contest, as Chan-heon has been solid this season with a 3.34 ERA, 1.18 WHIP and 29 strikeouts in 29.2 innings this season. It's also only a matter of time before the LG Twins win a game, as this has been a nightmare of a week for a team that's still somehow in a playoff spot if the season ended today. Pinto hasn't been great through 50.2 innings, as he has a 4.26 ERA and 1.70 WHIP with 27 walks, so you can understand why the LG Twins are the favorites despite their losing stretch. With all this said, neither of these teams are playing winning baseball and I don't want to lay juice with a team that's lost seven straight.
Give me the SK Wyverns and the plus money, but there's better options on Saturday's KBO betting card.
