Lotte Giants vs. Samsung Lions
KBO Baseball: Sunday, June 28, 2020 at 4:00 am
The Line: Samsung Lions +105 / Lotte Giants -125 -- Over/Under: 9.5
The Lotte Giants and Samsung Lions meet Sunday morning in South Korea KBO baseball action at the Sajik Baseball Stadium.
The Lotte Giants could use a feel good victory after losing six of their last eight games. The Lotte Giants offense has produced four or less runs in six of their last eight games. In the latest effort, Dixon Machado and An Chi-hong combined for two hits and one RBI while Adrain Sampson allowed four runs and eight hits in five innings of work. The Lotte Giants have lost eight of their last 12 games overall. Park Se-woong gets the ball tonight for the Lotte Giants.
The Samsung Lions look to keep the ball rolling after winning five of their last six games. The Samsung Lions have allowed five or less runs in nine of their last 12 games. In their latest effort, Lee Sung-gon and Kim Dong-yeop combined for five hits and three RBI while Baek Jung-hyun allowed zero runs and three hits in six innings of work. The Samsung Lions have won 12 of their last 18 games overall. Kim Dae-woo gets the ball tonight for the Samsung Lions.
The Samsung Lions have won four straight meetings against the Lotte Giants and seven of the last 10 meetings overall. Eight of the last 12 meetings between the Giants and Lions have produced single-digit run totals.
This line makes absolutely no sense from all angles, as the Samsung Lions are playing head and shoulders the better baseball with wins in five of their last six games and they've won seven of the last 10 meetings against the Lotte Giants. The Lotte Giants are in one of their offensive funks that's led to them losing six of their last eight games and eight of their last 12 games. Se-woong has also struggled this season with a 6.07 ERA, 1.65 WHIP and 16 walks in 40 innings. Se-woong has been noticeably better with a 3.82 ERA, 1.33 WHIP and 13 walks in 33 innings. I'm not understanding this line at all.
Maybe oddsmakers know something we don't, but I'll double dip with the Samsung Lions and the plus money.
