The LG Twins and KT Wiz Suwon meet Tuesday morning in South Korea KBO baseball action at the Jamsil Baseball Stadium.
The LG Twins could use a feel good victory after losing seven of their last nine games, but they just took two of three gases from the SK Wyverns. The LG Twins pitching staff has allowed five or more runs in seven of their last 10 games. In their last effort, Kim Hyun-soo and Lee Chun-woong combined for four hits and four RBI while Lim Chan-gyu allowed zero runs and three hits in seven innings of work. The LG Twins have lost 11 of their last 21 games overall.
The KT Wiz Suwon have split their last eight games and just took two of three games from the Hanwha Eagles. The KT Wiz Suwon offense has produced four or more runs in each of their last four games. In their last effort, Hwang Jae-gyun and Park Kyung-soo combined for four hits and six RBI while Odrisamer Despaigne allowed four runs and six hits in six innings of work. The KT Wiz Suwon have won eight of their last 12 games overall.
The LG Twins have won 14 of the last 17 meetings against the KT Wiz Suwon but the four meetings this season have been split down the middle. Six of the last 10 meetings between the Twins and Wiz Suwon have produced double-digit run totals.
The LG Twins finished the weekend strong, but they've still lost seven of their last nine games and it's hard to get behind them with their pitching staff getting tagged left and right. The KT Wiz Suwon have been hit or miss lately, but it's fair to say they're playing the better baseball overall these last two weeks with wins in eight of their last 12 games. Still, I have to side with the LG Twins based on the history between these clubs and with the Twins winning 14 of the last 17 meetings against the KT Wiz Suwon. Sometimes when a team has you number, it just does and history tends to repeat itself.
Give me the LG Twins in game one.
