The KT Wiz Suwon and Kiwoom Heroes meet Friday morning in South Korea KBO baseball action at the Sajik Baseball Stadium.
The KT Wiz Suwon look for a win after winning four of their last five games and taking two of three from the LG Twins. The KT Wiz Suwon offense has produced four or more runs in six of their last seven games. In their last effort, Yoo Han-joon and Jang Sung-woo combined for three hits and three RBI while Jo Byung-wook allowed three runs and five hits in five innings of work. The KT Wiz Suwon have won 10 of their last 15 games overall. Odrisamer Despaigne gets the ball tonight for the KT Wiz Suwon.
The Kiwoom Heroes look for another victory after winning 12 of their last 14 games and just took two of three from the Doosan Bears. The Kiwoom Heroes have scored no less than five runs in nine of their last 11 games. In their last effort, Park Byung-ho and Kim Ha-seong combined for four hits and eight RBI while Jo Young-gun allowed three runs and three hits in 0.2 innings of work. The Kiwoom Heroes have won 14 of their last 18 games overall. Eric Jokisch gets the ball tonight for the Kiwoom Heroes.
The KT Wiz Suwon and Kiwoom Heroes have split their last 10 meetings, but it’s the Heroes who have the slight 2-1 edge in the meetings this year. The last two games between the Wiz Suwon and Heroes have produced a combined 37 runs.
This should be one of the better series of the weekend between two teams playing winning baseball, but it’s the Kiwoom Heroes who are in better form overall and had success in the past series against the KT Wiz Suwon. The Kiwoom Heroes have lost just four games since June 12 and are consistently putting up crooked numbers on the offensive side. Odrisamer Despaigne also isn’t a pitcher I’m running to the window to bet, while Jokisch has a 1.42 ERA and a 7-2 record this season.
I like the Kiwoom Heroes to draw first blood in this series.
