KIA Tigers vs. NC Dinos – 7/5/20 KBO Baseball Pick, Odds, and Prediction

2020-07-05 04:00:00 EDT

The NC Dinos and KIA Tigers meet Sunday morning in South Korea KBO baseball action at the Changwon NC Park.

The NC Dinos look for a win after winning eight of their last 12 games. The NC Dinos have scored five or more runs in eight of their last 12 games. In their last effort, Park Suk-min and Kang Jin-sung combined for six hits and four RBI while Drew Rucinski allowed one run and four hits in six innings of work. The NC Dinos have won nine of their last 14 games overall. Mike Wright gets the ball tonight for the NC Dinos.

The KIA Tigers look for another win after winning three of their last four games. The KIA Tigers pitching staff has allowed four or less runs in 12 of their last 16 games. In their last effort, Kim Ho-ryeong and Preston Tucker combined for one hit and two RBI while Yang Hyun-jong allowed eight runs and 11 hits in 4.1 innings of work. The KIA Tigers have won 12 of their last 19 games overall. Aaron Brooks gets the ball tonight for the KIA Tigers.

The KIA Tigers have won seven of the last nine meetings against the NC Dinos and five of the last six meetings overall. Six of the last 10 meetings between the Tigers and Dinos have produced double-digit run totals.

This should be a hell of a pitching matchup and a hell of a game overall given the current form of both of these teams. The NC Dinos are a club we’ve blindly backed for most of the season and Wright has been money this year with a 3.70 ERA, 1.39 WHIP and 44 strikeouts in 56 innings. The KIA Tigers have been just as hot lately, and Brooks has an ERA of 2.51, a 1.13 WHIP and 56 strikeouts in 61 innings. The KIA Tigers are also probably the only team in the league that doesn’t fear the NC Dinos, winning seven of the last nine meetings against them.

Because of probably the better starting pitcher and the h2h success, I have to take the KIA Tigers and the even money.
