The Doosan Bears and Hanwha Eagles meet Sunday morning in South Korea KBO baseball action at the Jamsil Baseball Stadium.
The Doosan Bears need a win after losing six of their last nine games. The Doosan Bears offense has produced double-digit runs in two of their last seven games. In their last effort, Choi Joo-hwan and Hur Kyoung-min combined for three hits and two RBI while Chris Flexen allowed six runs and nine hits in four innings of work. The Doosan Bears have won 13 of their last 25 games overall. Yu Hui-kwan gets the ball tonight for the Doosan Bears.
The Hanwha Eagles need a feel good victory after losing five of their last six games. The Hanwha Eagles pitching staff has allowed seven or more runs in eight of their last 16 games. In their last effort, Choi Jin-haeng and Kim Tae-kyun combined for three hits and four RBI while Kim Min-woo allowed one run and seven hits in five innings of work. The Hanwha Eagles have lost 21 of their last 27 games overall. Chad Bell gets the ball tonight for the Hanwha Eagles.
The Doosan Bears have won eight of the last 12 meetings against the Hanwha Eagles, but they’ve been on the losing side of three of the last four meetings. Five of the last 10 meetings between the Bears and Eagles have produced double-digit run totals.
The Doosan Bears are obviously playing the better baseball right now and the Hanwha Eagles are a team we've blindly faded for majority of the season. However, the Bears shouldn't be laying this sort of number in this price. One, the Hanwha Eagles have won three of the last four games against the Doosan Bears and Hui-kwan is a pitcher who has allowed nine earned runs and 17 hits in his last 7.1 innings and he has an ERA of 4.73 on the season overall. Yes, Bell has his issues as well and the Hanwha Eagles aren't a team I want to back often, but the price here doesn't make much sense.
I'll take a shot at a chance to make over two times my money.
