Samsung Lions vs. Kiwoom Heroes – 7/7/20 KBO Baseball Pick, Odds, and Prediction

The Kiwoom Heroes and Samsung Lions meet Tuesday morning in South Korea KBO baseball action.

The Kiwoom Heroes look for another victory after winning 13 of their last 17 games, and they just lost two of three against the KT Wiz Suwon. The Kiwoom Heroes have scored no less than five runs in 11 of their last 14 games. In their last effort, Kim Ha-seong and Lee Jung-hoo combined for five hits and six RBI while Choi Won-tae allowed four runs and five hits in four innings of work. The Kiwoom Heroes have won 15 of their last 21 games overall. 

The Samsung Lions look to keep the ball rolling after winning five of their last six games, and they just took two of three from the LG Twins. The Samsung Lions have allowed five or less runs in 12 of their last 19 games. In their latest effort, Koo Ja-wook and Kim Dong-yeop combined for seven hits and five RBI while Heo Yoon-dong allowed two runs and three hits in five innings of work. The Samsung Lions have won 17 of their last 25 games overall.

The Samsung Lions have won four of their last five meetings against the Kiwoom Heroes, but the last 12 meetings have been split down the middle. Ten of the last 13 meetings between the Lions and Heroes have produced single-digit run totals.

The Kiwoom Heroes have been a tough team to bet against over these last couple of weeks, but they’re now running into a team in the Samsung Lions that’s had success against them this year with wins in four of the six meetings in 2020. The Samsung Lions pitching staff has been downright dealing as of late, and they should like their chances to build on that success with them holding the Kiwoom Heroes to just four runs in the last two matchups. If this pitching display from the Samsung Lions continues, they’re a team I’m going to continue backing as long as the prices stay rather cheap. 

Give me the Samsung Lions and the cheaper price in what should be an intriguing series overall.
