Kiwoom Heroes vs. KIA Tigers – 7/11/20 KBO Baseball Pick, Odds, and Prediction

The KIA Tigers and Kiwoom Heroes meet Saturday morning in South Korea KBO baseball action at the Gwangju Kia Champions Field.  

The KIA Tigers need a feel good victory here after losing four of their last six games. The KIA Tigers pitching staff has allowed four or less runs in 13 of their last 21 games. In their last effort, Preston Tucker and Na Ji-wan combined for four hits and five RBI while Yang Hyun-jong allowed five runs and eight hits in 5.1 innings of work. The KIA Tigers have won 14 of their last 24 games overall. Aaron Brooks gets the ball tonight for the KIA Tigers.

The Kiwoom Heroes look for another victory after winning 15 of their last 21 games. The Kiwoom Heroes have scored no less than five runs in 13 of their last 18 games. In their last effort, Kim Ha-seong and Lee Jung-hoo combined for three hits and five RBI while Choi Won-tae allowed seven runs and nine hits in four innings of work. The Kiwoom Heroes have won 17 of their last 25 games overall. Lee Seung-ho gets the ball tonight for the Kiwoom Heroes.    

The Kiwoom Heroes have won seven of the last 11 meetings against the KIA Tigers, but the last six meetings have been split. Six of the last 10 meetings between the Heroes and Tigers have produced double-digit run totals.

The Kiwoom Heroes are playing the better baseball entering this series and have had a clear edge over the KIA Tigers in past meetings. However, it’s the KIA Tigers who have a serious edge in the starting pitching department, as Brooks has a 2.36 ERA and 1.08 WHIP with 62 strikeouts in 68.2 innings this season. Brooks has also allowed just two runs and 10 hits in his last 13.2 innings. Seung-ho has a  5.33 ERA and 1.46 WHIP with 33 strikeouts in 54 innings. Seung-ho is coming off a game where he allowed six runs and five hits in just two innings. Clear pitching edge for the KIA Tigers in hopes of them getting out of this funk.
