The Lotte Giants and Doosan Bears meet Saturday morning in South Korea KBO baseball action at the Sajik Baseball Stadium.
The Lotte Giants look for a win after losing eight of their last 13 games. The Lotte Giants offense has produced four or less runs in nine of their last 19 games. In the latest effort, Han Dong-hee and Shin Bon-gi combined for two hits and five RBI while Seo Jun-won allowed seven runs and seven hits in four innings of work. The Lotte Giants have lost 15 of their last 23 games overall. Park Se-woong gets the ball tonight for the Lotte Giants.
The Doosan Bears look for another win after winning four of their last five games. The Doosan Bears offense has produced five or more runs in seven of their last nine games. In their last effort, Oh Jae-il and Choi Joo-hwan combined for two hits and five RBI while Chris Flexen allowed one run and three hits in seven innings of work. The Doosan Bears have won 17 of their last 30 games overall. Yu Hui-kwan gets the ball tonight for the Doosan Bears.
The Doosan Bears have won eight of the last 10 meetings against the Lotte Giants, but one of those losses came in the last two meetings. Eight of the last 11 meetings between the Bears and Giants have produced double-digit run totals.
The Doosan Bears are having a really impressive week and that offense is picking up like it usually does when they're winning games. That should continue when you consider Se-woong has a 5.71 ERA and 1.46 WHIP with 17 walks in 52 innings this season. Se-woong has allowed at least three earned runs in each of his last four starts and has a serious issue keeping the ball inside the park. Hui-kwan has had his issues as well this season with a 4.87 ERA, but he's pitching for a team that provides a lot of run support. We can't say thane for the LG Twins who aren't scoring runs and aren't winning games.
I'll side with the Doosan Bears and take the RL for added value.
