The Kiwoom Heroes look for a win here after splitting their last six games. The Kiwoom Heroes have scored no less than five runs in 15 of their last 22 games. In their last effort, Jeon Byung-woo and Heo Jeong-hyeop combined for five hits and five RBI while Eric Jokisch allowed three runs and eight hits in seven innings of work. The Kiwoom Heroes have won 19 of their last 29 games overall. Moon Sung-hyun gets the ball tonight for the Kiwoom Heroes.
The NC Dinos look for a win after winning seven of their last 12 games. The NC Dinos have scored five or more runs in 13 of their last 20 games. In their last effort, No Jin-hyuk and Aaron Altherr combined for three hits and four RBI while Choi Sung-young allowed two runs and six hits in five innings of work. The NC Dinos have won 13 of their last 22 games overall. Drew Rucinski gets the ball tonight for the NC Dinos.
The NC Dinos have won five of the last nine meetings against the Kiwoom Heroes, but they’ve lost four of the last five meetings. Five of the last seven meetings between the Heroes and Dinos have produced double-digit run totals.
The NC Dinos are a team we’ve backed a ton this season and they’re going to be favorites most nights just off respect of what they’ve done up to this point. However, we’re getting the hotter team and a team that’s had success against the NC Dinos with big plus money. Rucinski has a solid 2.24 ERA and 1.10 WHIP with 68 strikeouts in 76.1 innings this season and has been rewarded the win in each of his last four starts. However, Sung-hyun has a 1.46 ERA and 1.30 WHIP with eight strikeouts in 12.1 innings. Much smaller sample size, but Sung-hyun hasn’t allowed a run in each of his last five innings.
Give me the Kiwoom Heroes and the plus money, as there’s a lot to like about them in this spot.
